World's wealthiest people lose over $1 bln due to Trump's tweet

There is no doubt that US President Donald Trump is the world's most famous social network user. The activity in Twitter that he has been keeping since his election is closely watched. His tweets are too important to be neglected. The situation has reached a point when a tweet can bring down not only the American market but also the global ones. That's what happened to a tweet about the imposition of increased duties on the remaining Chinese imports. Shortly after, the major world indices dipped down affecting the capital of the world’s richest people. In total, $117 billion had just "disappeared" in less than one day.  Twenty-one members of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index lost more than 1 billion dollars. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos suffered the biggest losses. The drop in the online retailer stocks cost him $3.4 billion. However, even in this situation, Bezos is still the richest person on the planet with a fortune of $110 billion. Next comes Bernard Arnault, the head of Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, who missed out on about $3 billion in a day. Honorable third place was shared by Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, and Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft. Each of them was deprived of just over $2 billion. Ironically, the owners of Twitter who had caused that situation also suffered losses. In general, the panic triggered by Donald Trump's tweet cost the US stock markets about $700 billion.
