Eurozone’s ESM Could Emulate IMF – Dijsselbloem
The ESM, the bailout fund of Europe, should eventually become the bloc's own version of the IMF, the head of eurozone finance chiefs stressed.
Eurogroup head Jeroen Dijsselbloem said Sunday he believes it would make sense for their region's own bailout fund to be turned into their own IMF.
He mentioned it would also mean Greece's global creditors would need to be split in the long stretch, saying the central bank seems to be hugely uncomfortable in its intervention in the country's debt crisis.
Dijsselbloem noted the bloc had other important matters to work on.
