Dakar 2017: twelfth stage. Dakar 2017 has just become a matter of history.

We send greetings to all the fans of our team. I'm glad that we managed to curb the nerves and finished the today's stage in calm. Although the emotions of some teams escalated in today's short stage, needless to say that it was unnecessary. The only thing that waits us is the ceremonial ramp in Buenos Aires, after that the last night in the bivouac and on Sunday packaging and transport of the equipment to the port. The mission will be concluded by a little tiring plane trip home to which we're incredibly looking forward to.

Considering that what we encountered at this year's rally in the form of technical problems, we're extremely satisfied with the result. Having advanced from 14th place to 7th place overall is a beautiful satisfaction for us.

I would like to thank all the fans for their support, for a lot of SMS messages, emails and various comments. We read everything but didn't manage to respond to all. We'll try to fix it. Thanks also to the family and my main partners, which include InstaForex, Budweiser Budvar, Go4Games, Chladek and Tintera, Interflon as well as the entire Tatra Buggyra team for the opportunity to participate in this incredible adventure!

Watch on our site, we will keep you updated with the upcoming events and future plans of our team.

Thank you very much for the last time from this year's Dakar in Buenos Aires, Ales Loprais.

Dakar 2017: eleventh stage. What else will we have to overcome?

2017-01-14 02:00:17
Today was really tough for me. In yesterday's stage I probably drank too little, I was dehydrated and got a heat stroke. I felt pretty bad since morning, I had a nausea and I struggled with it the entire first section of the split stage.

Today was really tough for me. In yesterday's stage I probably drank too little, I was dehydrated and got a heat stroke. I felt pretty bad since morning, I had a nausea and I struggled with it the entire first section of the split stage. I don't know what is worse. If it is the body or the equipment that doesn't work. We drove in high sands with many jumps what was pretty bad for my floating stomach. The second part of the speed trial was very dusty, we drove about 70 km behind a car that didn't want us to overtake it so today we're probably also after dinner because we're full of dust we had swallowed not needing any second helping. Given the circumstances we're satisfied with the result, we couldn't do anything more!

Tomorrow's 12th stage will be the last one, from Rio Cuarto to Buenos Aires. The last stage speed trial will be 64 km, which we will drive in the very first part of the stage and then we will have to undergo a long unpleasant crossing to Buenos Aires. The total length of the stage is 786 km. Although the measured section is short, we must not underestimate it, because there's nothing to gain, but everything to lose. We need your support until the very end!

Thank you! Greetings from Ales Loprais.

Dakar 2017: tenth stage. The second long stage.

2017-01-13 08:53:48
This year's second long stage is behind us. It wasn't perfect, moreover, it was again divided by neutralization zone, which I don't like, but this time it helped us, because we had to change the wheel in its course.

This year's second long stage is behind us. It wasn't perfect, moreover, it was again divided by neutralization zone, which I don't like, but this time it helped us, because we had to change the wheel in its course. Fortunately, we managed everything in time and we could jump into the second part. But again, nothing was easy. We hit a stone and the power steering pump hose burst. We couldn't turn the wheel again, we had to stop and repair. On top of that, about 100 km before the finish, after a decent jump, oil leaked from the rear shock absorbers, so we really enjoyed the ride. However, we retained the fifth place in the stage, which is under these conditions a decent result. The track was challenging and quite broken and we are pleased that the technology survived. Tomorrow we will start from the fifth place, which is certainly a better position than today. Unfortunately, there is only the tomorrow's stage, which may allow something to happen.

11th stage from San Juan to Rio Cuarto in the entire length of 754 km, 288 km of which will be special section. In the first 50 km we can expect dunes and even further kilometres will be interesting because they will be driven in places of the Argentinean part of the World Championship Rally.

Thanks to each of you for your support, we greatly appreciate it!

Dakar 2017: ninth stage. Cancelled stage.

2017-01-12 06:43:51
The 9th stage was supposed to be The Royal Stage. But this year's Dakar doesn't belong to the fortunate ones. The capricious weather even divided the participants and their accompaniments. Part of them is yet in Salta while others are on the road across the mountains directly to Chilecito.

The 9th stage was supposed to be The Royal Stage. But this year's Dakar doesn't belong to the fortunate ones. The capricious weather even divided the participants and their accompaniments. Part of them is yet in Salta while others are on the road across the mountains directly to Chilecito. The alternate route snakes at altitudes above 4000 m, at a length of about 1200 km and makes use of the unpaved roads, so it will be really challenging for some of the accompanying vehicles. We believe that the difficult path will be overcome by everyone without much trouble and that the two groups will meet in Chilecito in the evening. Perhaps everybody will eventually get serviced, vehicles as well as people and tomorrow the race will start again. Probably nothing significant will happen, but if the length and difficulty stages remain as originally planned, there may be still some shifts in the final ranking.

Stage 10 Chilecito – San Juan should generally measure 751 km, 449 of which will be special section. It is one of the last stages of this length. So we wish it to be left intact.

Follow the news on our website or Facebook which will inform you of any changes.

Dakar 2017: eighth stage. Goodbye, Bolivia!

2017-01-11 05:31:12
Today's shortened stage, the last one in Bolivia, is behind us. To be honest I'm not satisfied with the result, even though we didn't have any technical problems. We didn't have enough power. We just couldn't keep up. The vehicles around were faster.

Today's shortened stage, the last one in Bolivia, is behind us. To be honest I'm not satisfied with the result, even though we didn't have any technical problems. We didn't have enough power. We just couldn't keep up. The vehicles around were faster. We were choked mainly by the altitude.

January 11, 2017 is the day of the 9th stage from Salta to Chilecito. This stage should have a total of 977 km, 406 km of which will be the measured section for all categories. But it's still not clear what will happen, because the only access road to Salta is under water and the entire convoy is said to be instructed to return. We will have to wait for the solution.

We believe that this time, despite the difficulties the serving of kilometres will be preserved and the results will be somewhat more favourable for us.

Thank you for being with us!
