    On Sunday, 16 October, there was the summit of the BRICS-countries in Goa, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and RSA. At the meeting Russia and India signed an agreement for the supply of air defence missile system C-400 “Triumph”. Other contracts for billions of dollars were concluded but it's not working out to slow down the falling of sales turnover yet.

    The contract signature for the supply of air defence missile system C-400 “Triumph” between Russian and Indian parties has drawn an unprecedented response. The system is able to destroy aircraft and missiles with a range of 400 km. The contract price is confidential.

    In addition to “Triumph” Russia plans to export gas and about 100 million tons of oil to India. The Russian Federation and India are ready to formalize the cooperation in the constructive sphere of the 5th and the 6th units of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant. Besides the parties agreed to organize an investment fund for $1 billion.

    As for China it will be still the major trading partner of Russia inside the BRICS-group. Russia and China are ready to create an alliance in power economy – the construction plan of gas pipeline along the eastern route. Annual deliveries with a help of it may come up to 38 billion cubic meters of gas.

    As the experts consider, this year as well as the next year Brazil won't be involved in integration processes. The new president of Brazil 76-year-old Michel Temer has been resting in Goa more than working. Touching the relationships of the Russian Federation and RSA, it can be mentioned as relatively stable. Last year the trade turnover between the countries amounted to less than $1 billion.

    The BRICS-group appeared in 2006 as a virtual association then got the real force. At first BRICS-countries showed impressive rates of economic growth. Some experts thought the union as a platform for a breakthrough of global GDP. The economic growth of the Celestial Empire reached 14%, India's economy added about 9-10% annually, Russia's GDP increased by 6-8%, Brazil - 3-7%, South Africa - 3-5%. Currently the growth of China and India slowed to 7% and 6% respectively. The Russian Federation and Brazil went into the red.

    Note that on the eve of the summit the media of different countries announced about possible protectionism in the global trade, as well as the political opposition of emerging countries to the developed ones. However, currently the BRICS-group doesn't have a serious impact on the global economy and is not able to compete with the countries of the Big Seven for an influence on global processes. According to Utkin Sergey, an expert of the Center for Strategic Research, the BRICS can not endanger the G7 countries while it's not beyond USA and EU control.
