    Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia arrived in London on October 15. A half-an-hour meeting was held in the Buckingham Palace on Tuesday between the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church and the main monarch of Great Britain - Queen Elizabeth II (she is also the head of the Church of England).

    It is known that Patriarch Kirill's visit to London was dedicated to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Russian Church's presence in the British Isles.

    Patriarch Kirill and other participants of the Russian delegation walked down the London streets on Monday. On the same day, parishioners of the Cathedral of the Dormition in London made a present for the Primate - a welsh corgi puppy. Note that welsh corgi is a favourite breed of Elizabeth II.

    Patriarch Kirill led a service at one of the Orthodox Cathedrals in London on Sunday.

    Representatives of the Department for External Church Relations - Metropolitan Hilarion and Archbishop of Sourozh Elisey - kept Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia company during the walk around British capital and visit to the Buckingham Palace.

    Earlier, the Ukrainian embassy expressed dissatisfaction with the decision of Elizabeth II to meet with the ROC representatives.

    At the end of the conversation Elizabeth II and Patriarch Kirill exchanged gifts - the Queen presented the portraits (her and her husband's) to the Primate of the Russian Church, and the Head of ROC presented an icon to the monarch.
