Sales of the new Galaxy Note 7 smartphone model started on August 19 this year in the USA, South Korea and other countries. The device differed the waterproof enclosure and function of scanning the iris. However, after the immense triumph the equally resounding failure has happened.

Five days later, the information about the first case of the smartphone's ignition while charging appeared in the media. It provoked worrying among customers.

Later, on September 2, the Samsung company admitted that there is a defect in the device's power cells. Galaxy Note 7 sales were suspended all over the world. The company promised to replace 1 million sold devices with another, only safer.

Six days later, the U.S. federal aviation administration recommended passengers to not carry Galaxy Note 7 in the baggage, as well as not switch it on during the flight. A week later, the majority of air carriers from different countries, including "Aeroflot", began to abide by these rules.

By the beginning of October, Samsung resumed selling the finalized Galaxy Note 7 in South Korea. However, a few days later, the smartphone from the new batch lit up on the plane in the USA. Later, the information about other cases of devices' ignition has appeared.

Last Tuesday, on October 11, the company announced the recall of all Galaxy Note 7. The Corporation's management accepted the failure to address the defect and asked the smartphones' owners to swith them off forever. When returning the phones, users will have a compensation in the amount of $25-100. According to the Samsung data, the company's loss will ammount to $5.3 billion.
