    On August 21, the closing ceremony of the Summer Olympics 2016 took place in Rio. A bright event, where the central figures were the Japanese, as they are the ones to host the next 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, left no-one indifferent.

    The promotional video of the next Summer Olympics 2020, which are to be held in Tokyo, was presented on the day of the closing ceremony. The main surprise was the participation of Sinzo Abe, the current Prime Minister of Japan, in the presentation of Tokyo Summer Olympics. The politician appeared in the centre of Maracana stadium dressed as the character of the Japanese game Mario, who is also part of the promo video created for Olympics 2020.

    During 14 days of Rio 2016, 306 sets of medals in 28 sports were won. The United States were at the top of the medal table, the American athletes had 121 medals with 46 gold.

    The second position went to Great Britain with its 27 gold medals, and the 3rd was China, that got 26 gold medals.
