Yen Pares Gains Against Majors

The Japanese yen erased some of its early Asian session gains against other major currencies in late trading on Friday.

The yen is presently quoted at 121.35 against the pound and 78.20 against the US dollar, down from early Asian session's multi-day highs of 121.12 and 78.08, respectively.

The yen also eased to 95.26 against the euro and 79.31 against the Swiss franc from a session's highs of 95.05 and 79.14, respectively.

The Japanese unit also pared gains against the resource-linked currencies, hitting as low as 63.61 against the NZ dollar, 77.80 against the Canadian dollar and 82.0 against the Australian dollar.
