Seychelles Consumer Prices Decline In February

Seychelles consumer price index or CPI dropped 3.4% year-on-year in February, compared to the 2.2% fall in the previous month, the National Statistics Bureau said on Wednesday. A year earlier, the CPI was up 49.8%.

The price index for fish rose to 46.7% annually in February from 45.6% in January, while non-food prices fell to 1.5%from 0.7% drop in the previous month. The price index for other food was down 11.1%.

On a monthly basis, the CPI rose 0.1% in February, slower than the 1.4% growth in the previous month.
