Marine Le Pen calls for abolition of euro

Some people think that necessity of the single European currency is a boring and quite uninteresting topic, but it still captivates former leader of the National Front party and French presidential nominee Marine Le Pen. Anyone who feels like it has already criticized the euro and the European Union as a whole. One might think that a candidate for the presidency in one of the largest European economies could come up with something more original than abolition of the euro.

Marine Le Pen repeats the same thought again and again not taking into account that the French voters could already be fed up with the same old mantra about the need to return to the national currency. Le Pen said that "the euro is dead," adding that France should return to the French franc. In her opinion, the time-honored franc should play the main role in the French economy as today the single currency is a burden. However, trying not to scare away supporters of European integration, Marine Le Pen stated that she does not intend to completely get rid of the euro and large companies engaged in international trade can use the single European currency.

To sum up, there is nothing to be surprised in the world of politics. As always, candidates promise bits of this and that trying to win over as many naive voters as possible.
