Russia boosts oil production by 0.8% in January-April

In the January to March period, Russia’s oil and gas condensate output increased by 0.8% to 181.166 million tonnes, or 11.066 million barrels per day, compared to the same period in 2016.

However, it should be taken into account that February 2017 is one day shorter than February 2016.

In April 2017, Russia produced 45.002 million tonnes of oil, with the average output being at the level of 10.995 million barrels per day. From April 2016, last month's production increased by 1.6%.

However, March’s levels declined by 5.2% from 47.494 million tonnes or 11.230 million barrels per day in October 2016.

The starting point of OPEC and non-OPEC oil producers to embrace output caps was October 2016.
