Germany spends bunch of money on immigrants

It turned out that immigrants are quite an expensive affair after Germany calculated the annual living cost of refugees from the Middle East. The Finance Ministry reported that the government and consequently taxpayers spend about 21 billion euro annually to help asylum seekers. At the same time, last year the outlay relating to immigrants was a bit higher – 22 billion euro, the ministry said. This sum is really impressive, especially when compared to living expenses incurred by other countries. For example, let us see how much the world’s biggest country rich in mineral resources spends on its citizens.

Thus, Germany injected 21 billion euro into immigration support, whereas Russia’s state budget provided 8 billion euro to the education sector and 6 billion euro to the healthcare sector. However, German policymakers think that refugees’ accommodation costs too much and they plan to reduce the expenditure by at least 500 million euro. At the same time, there is little chance that the immigration problem will be solved soon, as the price of it remains almost unchanged.
