Russia is attractive investment destination, Goldman Sachs says

Analysts at Goldman Sachs and Blackrock said investors should pay attention to the assets of emerging markets, especially Russia and Brazil.
According to Kamakshya Trivedi, chief emerging markets strategist at Goldman Sachs Research, Russian assets are rather attractive now as the Russian ruble is expected to strengthen. Moreover, the bank said it expects the Bank of Russia to further lower its benchmark interest rate amid slowing inflation.
Situation in Brazil is stabilizing and investors can cash in on the risk of investing in emerging markets, Sergio Trigo Paz, Head of BlackRock's Emerging Markets Fixed Income within Portfolio Management Group, said.
In addition to Russia and Brazil, investors are turning their eyes on Indonesia. India and Argentina are also promising markets, Goldman Sachs said.
Recently, Russian Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev said that Russia should switch to investment model. For economic recovery, annual investment growth at 7-8% is needed.
In the first quarter of 2016, Russia’s GDP fell by 1.2% after declining by 3.7% in 2015.
