In the second quarter, Siemens Healthineers (SMMNY.PK) reported an increase in net income to shareholders from 105 million euros last year to 426 million euros. The earnings per share rose from 0.09 euros to 0.38 euros. An 8% increase was seen in the Adjusted EBIT, which stood at 822 million euros compared to last year. In addition, the adjusted basic earnings per share rose from 0.49 euros to 0.55 euros.
The revenue for the second quarter was 5.43 billion euros, slight increase compared to 5.35 billion euros last year. The quarter witnessed a comparable revenue growth of 3.0%.
The fiscal projections for 2024 remain the same for the company, which anticipates a comparable revenue growth of between 4.5% to 6.5%. Without taking the revenue from rapid COVID-19 antigen tests into account, this accounts for a comparable revenue growth between 5.0% and 7.0%. The forecast for adjusted basic earnings per share remains steady, lying between 2.10 euros and 2.30 euros.
