Sensex, Nifty Seen Higher At Open

Indian stock markets are expected to open positively today, tracking strong indications from global markets.

The mood of today's trading is likely to be influenced by Q4 corporate earnings results, shifts in oil prices, developments within the Iran-Israel conflict, and the trading activity of foreign investors.

Please note, this week will be shorter for the markets as stock exchanges BSE and NSE will close on Wednesday due to Maharashtra Day.

This morning, the majority of Asian markets showed an upward trend in cautious trading, awaiting the highly anticipated Federal Reserve's policy meeting scheduled from April 30 to May 1.

In the commodity markets, the price of gold declined somewhat in Asian trading while the US dollar remained stable. Oil prices, however, fell about 1 percent due to concerns about interest rates.

On Friday, U.S. stocks experienced significant growth thanks to outstanding earnings reports from tech giants Alphabet and Microsoft, alongside encouraging inflation data that didn't contain any shocking surprises.

Data revealed that inflation, as gauged by the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index, remained steady at 0.3 percent in March, aligned with financial forecasts.

Year-on-year, the index increased by 2.7 percent, slightly exceeding the estimated 2.6 percent. Meanwhile, the core PCE index came in at 2.8 percent, marginally surpassing expectations of 2.7 percent.

The tech-centered Nasdaq Composite saw a significant boost of 2 percent, while the S&P 500 climbed 1 percent and the Dow rose by 0.4 percent.

Finally, European stocks ended firmly on Friday, rebounding after a decline in the previous session.

The pan-European STOXX 600 increased by 1.1 percent. Germany's DAX rose 1.4 percent, France's CAC 40 rose 0.9 percent, and the U.K.'s FTSE 100 escalated by 0.8 percent.
