Schaeffler Aims To Take Production To New Digital Level In Collaboration With Siemens

Schaeffler and Siemens have entered into a cooperative agreement to further the implementation of artificial intelligence in industrial operations. This agreement concentrates on the collaborative development of digital systems tailored to the manufacturing setting, as well as AI applications within industry. This includes partnership with Siemens Industrial Copilot, an AI-powered automation solution.

Currently in trial runs, the Siemens Industrial Copilot is working within a robot cell provided by Schaeffler Special Machinery, a division of the Schaeffler Group which specializes in machine construction. The AI tool handles responsibilities such as creating intricate programming codes for manufacturing procedures.

Schaeffler AG's Chief Operating Officer, Andreas Schick, said, "The 'Siemens Industrial Copilot' demonstrates that artificial intelligence is already a viable tool in production today. By using the Copilot, we are giving our manufacturing floor experts an innovative digital instrument that not only simplifies their tasks, but also significantly boosts their efficiency."
