FX.co ★ Trump and Trudeau held the first official meeting

Last Monday the official meeting of the new Head of the USA Donald Trump and the Prime Minister of the neighboting state – the Canadian politician Justin Trudeau – was held in Washington.

On February 13, Trudeau and Trump had time for a private chat and also for holding the press conference. Not only media perssonel, but also the officials' close associates were in attendance at the meeting. For example, the new Head of the USA was accompanied by his daughter Ivanka (in the picture). Business women from the States and Canada were also present at the meeting in the White House.

During the press conference both sides pointed, that they had the joint plan and interests. The American President promised, that Washington would continue cooperation with Ottawa for achievement of the shared objectives.

During the meeting the representatives of the two states discussed a great number of topical issues. According to the majority view, the most important ones were the topics related to commercial business and economic relations.

Trump and Trudeau have different views on migration policy, and in the course of negotiations the US Head and the Prime Minister of Canada fully realized it. The Canadian assured of the intention to continue his policy of hospitability in relation to refugee immigrants. In contrast, Trump remained unconvinced, denoting, that he would not let “incorrect" citizens in the state.

The Prime Minister of Canada presented a touching gift to Donald Trump – the photograph of the new US Head in his younger days and Trudeau's father – the former Prime Minister of Canada Pierre Trudeau.

It is noteworthy, that Trudeau has been prepared for the dialogue with Donald Trump for several months. Besides of the meeting with the new Head of the USA, the Canadian intends to communicate with the representatives of the American Congress.
