Pound Jumps New Multi-year High Against Euro

After moving sideways in the early part of Thursday's European session, the pound resumed uptrend against the currencies of the U.S., Europe and Switzerland in early New York trading on Thursday.

The sterling is presently trading at a fresh multi-year high of 0.7826 against the euro, 17-month high of 1.5356 against the Swiss franc and a 17-day high of 1.5723 against the US dollar.

On the upside, the UK currency may find target levels at 1.5780 against the greenback, 1.5690 against the Swiss franc and 0.78 against the euro.
