European Economic News Preview: France Inflation Data Due

Only main news due on Friday are the inflation figures from France and Italy, while several other major markets will be closed for a public holiday.

France's statistical office, INSEE, is set to release preliminary inflation, producer prices and household spending data at 3.45 am ET. The prediction for consumer price inflation is a decrease to 2.6 percent in March from 3.0 percent in February. Economists also predict a growth of 0.3 percent in household spending for February, which will likely compensate for a fall of 0.3 percent in the preceding month.

Subsequently at 5.00 am ET, Poland is anticipated to disclose preliminary inflation figures, with an expectation that consumer price inflation will reduce from 2.8 percent in February to 2.2 percent in March.

Finally, at 6.00 am ET, Italy's ISTAT is scheduled to reveal consumer and harmonized prices for March. The forecast sets consumer price inflation to increase from 0.8 percent in February to 1.4 percent.
