European Economic News Preview: Eurozone Flash PMI Data Due

The Flash Purchasing Managers' survey results from the Eurozone and the UK are the key economic headlines due on Tuesday.

At 2:00 am ET, the UK Office for National Statistics is set to release public sector finance data. It is projected that the budget deficit will increase to £8.9 billion in March, a significant uptick from £7.48 billion in February.

Next, at 3:15 am ET, France's flash PMI survey results are scheduled for release by S&P Global. It is expected that the services PMI will climb to 48.9 in April from 48.3 the previous month. Similarly, the factory PMI is anticipated to improve, rising to 46.9 from 46.2 in the preceding month.

Following this, at 3:30 am ET, Germany's flash PMI survey data will become available. Economists predict that the manufacturing PMI will be 42.8 in April, a slight increase from 41.9 in March. Additionally, the services PMI is projected to better slightly, at 50.6 from 50.1.

At 4:00 am ET, the Eurozone flash PMI survey results are set to be published by S&P Global. The composite output index is forecast to rise to 50.8 in April, up from 50.3 the previous month.

Half an hour later, the UK's S&P/CIPS flash composite PMI data will be released. The manufacturing PMI is estimated to remain steady at 50.3 in April, with the services PMI expected to dip slightly to 53.0 from 53.1 in March.

Lastly, at 8:00 am ET, the central bank of Hungary will announce its monetary policy decision. The bank is expected to reduce its key rate to 7.75 percent from 8.25 percent.
