The consumer-aviation website Skytrax has published its latest annual World Airport Awards. The Skytrax annual rankings are based on the impressions of nearly 14 million flyers. The survey covers such parameters as facility comfort, location of bathrooms, and the language skills of the airport staff.

For the fifth year in a row, Changi, the main airport of Singapore, is the first among the world's best airports. Changi serves as home to Singapore Airlines, Silkair, Tigerair, Singapore Airlines Cargo, Scoot, and others.

Since its opening in 1981, the airport has become an example in the aviation industry, having received over 280 awards. The airport development policy is built on the solution of the task of servicing the increasing passenger traffic while maintaining high standards.

The second place belongs to Tokyo Haneda International Airport. Haneda is one of two major international airports that serve the Tokyo area. It is located a few miles from the heart of the Japanese capital.

Hong Kong International Airport serves over 100 airlines operating flights to about 180 locations worldwide, including 44 destinations on the Chinese Mainland. It is a former, multiple winner of the Airport of the Year title at the World Airport Awards.
