FX.co ★ Uber To Power Restaurant Delivery In Instacart App

Maplebear Inc, operating under the name Instacart, recently announced a collaboration with Uber Technologies, Inc. This new partnership aims to extend Uber Eats' restaurant delivery services to the customer base of Instacart.

In the forthcoming weeks, Instacart’s new feature will enable its customers to order restaurant meals using the Instacart app, a service facilitated by Uber Eats. This ordering facility will be accessible through a new "Restaurants" tab on the Instacart application.

Instacart customers can now place restaurant food delivery orders which will be executed by Uber Eats and its roster of delivery workers. Additionally, customers subscribed to Instacart+ will benefit from free delivery on all grocery and restaurant orders priced at over $35.

This strategic partnership also offers a valuable opportunity for Uber to increase the volume of orders made to its restaurant partners through Uber Eats. The companies also emphasized the potential of this initiative to broaden Uber's restaurant offerings to a more extensive customer base across the United States. This includes households in suburban areas who are frequent users of Instacart's services.
