Australia Unemployment Data Due On Thursday

On Thursday, Australia is set to release data for unemployment in March, marking a lighter day of economic activity across the Asia-Pacific region.

The Australian economy is projected to have added a further 7,200 jobs in March, following a surge of 116,500 jobs in February. There is an expected slight increase in the unemployment rate, from 3.7 percent in February to 3.9 percent in March.

Also, Japan is expected to post March results for its tertiary industry activity index. Forecasts indicate a score of 0.80, an increase from the previous month's reading of 0.30.

Hong Kong will also release its unemployment data for March. In February, the region reported an unemployment rate of 2.9 percent.
